Looking Back at 2024: A Year in Art

Eyo Festival by Omoniyi Gilbert, 2024

Happy 2025! We’re thrilled to be back and excited for another year of creativity and connection. Before looking ahead, here’s a reflection on everything that made 2024 so special.

Last year was an incredible journey filled with inspiring moments:

🎤 We had the privilege of interviewing 12 extraordinary artists, gaining insight into their creative processes and artistic journeys.

🌍 African art found new homes across the globe, connecting people to its rich culture and storytelling in meaningful ways.

🤝 We attended industry events, met passionate collectors and artists, and built relationships that continue to shape our community.

🎨 Our platform welcomed an array of fresh talent, introducing you to even more unique and captivating artworks.

An Epitome of Beauty by Taiye Ajakaiye, 2024

Light in the Dark by Buchi Okeke, 2024

Gist With Us by Ogochukwu, 2024

Makoko Series 4 by John Adediran, 2024

💼 Most importantly, thanks to your support, many artists earned a sustainable income, allowing them to continue creating and sharing their work with the world.

We’re so proud of what’s been built together, and the possibilities for 2025 are endless. Here’s to another year of art, inspiration, and creativity!

What’s your New Year’s resolution? We hope it’s to start collecting or to collect more African art! If that’s the case, explore our collection at artdey.com.
