Akinsemoyin Basit

Akinsemoyin Basit (b.1999) is a Lagos-based visual Artist working across acrylic, oil colour, and water colour. A graduate of Visual Arts from the University of Lagos, his practice focuses on the Landscapes, capturing beautiful and ecstatic view of places in Lagos, as an emerging contemporary artist my works explores the intersections of identity, culture, and human connection. Born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria.

Basit draws inspiration from the vibrant colors, dynamic rhythms, and rich traditions of his homeland, infusing his art with a unique blend of modernity and heritage.
