Asholasa Daniel is an artist that resides and works in Lagos. He graduated from Yaba College of Technology where he received an HND in Art, majoring in painting.
Daniel is a multifaceted artist who depicts his stories through textured surfaces alluding to the complexities of life as he knows it in Nigeria and other part of Africa and her diaspora. He derives his inspiration directly from the environment around him as well as pulling from his imagination of a western world that he has been exposed to through globalization.
Currently he works full time as an artist striving and pushing to bring his work to a larger audience. Daniel participated at the ‘IAM that IAM’ exhibition in New York which was curated by Michael Hymam, Feburary precisely, anticipating for the phase two of the show in August.
